Great customer service from the start. The representative that answered the telephone, to the technician that came out to service the home, along with the inspector, all extended such great customer service. Time is of value, and arriving not only on time, but even earlier if available, was amazing, and so much appreciated. Great job, you guys rock

I recently moved and took the ORKIN service with me. They were able to have a technician service my new property within the first 24 hours! They did not skip a beat. I highly recommend.

David G. via google

Our local Orkin team came by on time and addressed the issue with the yellow jackets in our yard. We also received information on mosquito repellent and even the insulation in our attic that can help with pests. Overall I’m happy with the thoroughness of both the pest controller and the rep who did a walkthrough after. The pricing was reasonable for the amount of information and service we were provided.

Maria E. J. via google

We had a little misunderstanding on setting up the appointment (at the corporate level not the store that deals with my area) but they immediately came out the following day . I was even able to set the time that fit my schedule. Blake did a fantastic job. He was courteous of my belongs and very mindful of my 3 kids and pets. He listened to my concerns and took into consideration my opinion of how the pest are moving on a day to day. We worked out a plan together based off the information i provided. He was very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make sure we get the situation under control as fast as possible and to keep unwanted pest out of the home.

The man that was dispatched from ORKIN to treat our home was very courteous and proffessional . We were informed by text that he was on his way and again when he arrived . He answered all my questions and politely put on shoe covers to walk through our home . Job well done

Joshua came out and inspected our home and attic since we’ve had a daytime bat issue. He was on time and very professional. I would highly recommend them for future services!

Paul W. via google

I got a text from Brian this morning and I was very confused but wrong number. Still had amazing service don't currently need these services but when I do or know someone that does I'll recommend them. Very friendly service!

DSSD G. via google

My husband and I appreciated the more humane approach to extermination and the time spent during the inspection to explain the treatment. I did have to call for extra treatment since our moles were still present after initial treatment but they did schedule and complete as promised. We’re in our 3 months of treatment with prevention and so far the problem is under control. All in all a reliable service with competitive pricing but everything paid upfront and no ongoing deductions to keep track.

Therese S. via google

A couple of squirrels gnawed their way into my attic. I contracted Critter Control and they responded quickly to set up service. The squirrels were humanely removed and all possible openings were sealed within a week. A short time later, my attic was fogged to take care of any potential critters that remained. A very thorough job with a warranty. Very pleased with the service.

Joanne T. via google

We noticed a squirrel entering one of our roof eves and because a family member had recommended critter control we called them right away. The sales person came out and gave us a bid, indicating the work would take two to three days and they could have a team out within a couple of days. The price seemed high, but given that I can’t climb a ladder because of my disability, two or three days work for a crew seemed acceptable. A team of two young men showed up when they had said and spent a little less than 3 hours installing wire mesh over all of our roof eve openings and placing a one way the two eves that appeared damaged from birds and the squirrels, although the technicians said they didn’t hear or see anything in the eve. We had paid for 1/2 the service up front and were billed the remainder. While I’m happy to pay a fair wage, especially for services that I can’t do anymore, the six hours of labor and less than $100 of materials, seemed far less than the price and time the sales person had estimated. I called and was told a manager would call me back. I’ve been waiting about two weeks for a call back, but have only received another bill payment request and this request for a review. There is no local number provided on the website and the people I originally spoke with from their main office were not able to address the situation. The work done appears to be fine, but it’s up at the eves, so I can’t really tell the quality, time will tell if the squirrels or birds try to return, but it looks pretty good for now… the cost seems exorbitant compared to the labor and materials though and the company seems too big to provide a response to my inquiry. I do hope we can come to an agreement on finalizing the bill. My attempt to reply by email to their billing request failed so now I’m hoping they reach back out to me.

I was visited by Allen, south of Festus, MO last week and had the best service. Allen arrived on time with an enthusiastic and upbeat attitude willing to assist. He was very professional and knowledgeable about our situation and educated us. Allen went above and beyond by taking out of his personal time on the weekend to give me information on how to proceed with my pest problem. I would recommend Allen for special recognition in the work that he performs and Terminix for their services.

Jordan has provided the most complete service since I’ve been a client. He even sprayed on my deck, which no one else has done. If these are new directions to the techs, hooray. If not, he did the best service. Thanks for putting him on my route.

Sue B.via Google

I would like to thank Jeff for doing a great job today. In fact, I would like to request him in the future. Y’all were supposed to provide service a couple of weeks ago, and your guy showed up without the equipment to service the inside of my house. To be honest, I almost called you to cancel my service then. Instead I rescheduled. Today Jeff did exactly what I signed up for, but too often you don’t provide. He sprayed indoors and out, swept my eaves for spider webs and took care of a couple of wasp nests. He did a great job. Thank you very much.

Rick T.via Google

Very polite and wearing a mask (I appreciate that). Introduced himself and asked if any particular place was heavy with mosquitoes, I told him I work in my garage with the door open and he made sure to get that side of the house thoroughly.

Michael did the treatment today and he was awesome! Had a couple new problem areas and he quickly figured out where they were coming from, why they were there and what to do about it. Extremely personable and professional. Really likes his job and the company he works for so that says a lot to me. I've been using Aptive for several years now. My house is surrounded by thick forest and since using them I can weed the flower beds and move edging stones without ants erupting everywhere. Very refreshing. Only insects that make it into the house are the flying ones and they don't live long! Thanks, Michael!

Shawn L. via google

Pros: This last rep was pretty sharp! He helped me understand the ends and outs of the season what to look for, what to get rid of that might attract pests. Was easy to talk to, sent pics of his work all before he left my driveway. Very clean, informative, service given. Cons: Didn't catch his last name or TECH ID# to ask if I could have JUST him come out moving forward. I also wanted to make sure he's recognized as a great tech. His name was super regular "Michael" probably a bunch of guys there with the same name. ?

Jarvis the service technician came to our house this morning and did an excellent job. I am very happy with the service I received from him and am giving a 10/10 rating! I am looking forward to having him service our property in the future and would highly recommend him to others. Jarvis was professional and friendly and did an excellent job. Thank you Jarvis.

Pest Coverage Explained

When enlisting professional pest control in Waterloo, IL, it's important to know which pests are included in the service plan. Common household pests such as ants, spiders, mice, and cockroaches are typically covered. However, there may be exclusions, like certain species of ants or spiders, as well as pests like termites, bed bugs, and wildlife, which may require specialized treatment plans. Additional coverage for mosquitoes or ticks is often available as an add-on service, providing more comprehensive protection against these pests. Be sure to clarify which pests are included and excluded in your chosen plan to avoid any surprises down the line.

Understanding Contracts

Many pest control providers require service agreements that define the terms and conditions of the treatment plan. These contracts can range from a few months to a year and may include a cancellation fee if the service is terminated before the end of the term. However, some plans offer flexibility with no cancellation fees, allowing homeowners to opt-out at any time. It's important to review these agreements carefully to understand your commitments and ensure they align with your needs.

Guarantees and Peace of Mind

Most pest control companies offer some form of satisfaction guarantee, ensuring that if pests persist after treatment, they will provide additional services at no extra cost. This could be a return visit to address any issues or even a money-back guarantee if the service does not meet your expectations. Guarantees are a testament to a company's confidence in its services and provide homeowners with peace of mind.

What Happens During Treatment

The initial visit from a pest control technician typically involves a thorough inspection of your home to identify pest activity and potential entry points. Based on this assessment, the technician will implement a tailored treatment plan which may include sealing gaps, applying pesticides, and setting traps. Subsequent visits focus on maintaining a pest-free environment through ongoing monitoring and additional treatments as needed.

Bundle and Save

To maximize value, some pest control providers offer bundled savings when combining multiple services, such as pest and termite control. This not only simplifies the process by dealing with one company for all pest-related concerns but also can lead to significant cost savings for the homeowner. Additional services like mosquito treatment may also be offered at discounted rates when bundled with a general pest control plan.

Specialty Pest Concerns

While general pest control plans cover a wide array of common pests, homeowners sometimes face infestations of more challenging pests like termites, bed bugs, or wildlife intruders. These require specialized treatment plans that are often available at an additional cost. If you're dealing with these specific pests, ensure your provider has the expertise and means to effectively address them.

Choosing Between One-Time and Recurring Service

One-time treatments are a good option for handling an immediate pest problem, but they do not prevent future infestations. Recurring services, on the other hand, provide ongoing protection against pests with regularly scheduled treatments throughout the year. While one-time services can be cost-effective in the short term, investing in a recurring service plan often leads to better long-term pest management and prevention.
