I highly recommend Orkin. I received excellent service from the time I placed a phone call and scheduling an appt the next day 6-11-2024. Andrew Williams, the inspector and Joey Morrill, the exterminator explained the who, what, when and how. They were very professional and work well together as a team. I was called by Joey to give me an estimated time and I was notified through text upon the arrival. They completed job in a timely manner and left with a smile on their faces. I would highly recommend Orkin to family and friends. Thank you Orkin!

Joseph M. Was great. I had a wasp nest starting to grow on the outside door jam. And he got rid it with no hesitation. Let me tell you the story of Joseph M. the wasp slayer. It was a mild morning and the air held the fresh sent of grass after nighttime rain. I groggily made my way to the door wondering who could be ringing my doorbell at the ungodly hour of 9:00am. I open the door to what seemed to be an unassuming man with a cheery bearing. I got my first insight then into the grizzled veteran that lay just below the surface as he spoke. With a hoarse gravelly voice he said “ Hey I am here with Orkin, sorry about how I sound I went to a concert…”. I lost all track of the fowling conversation as I saw what he said for its truth; a line to put me at ease like that of a first responder in the middle of a crisis. I believe that even then he sensed what was lurking near by. Coming back to myself I hear “… is there anything else I can do for you today”. I looked nervously to my right where an evil creature even now lay in wait listening… plotting and said “ yea can you get rid of this wasp nest? There is a single wasp living on it”. This took no small amount of courage, as we all well know wasps wake up everyday and choose violence. So hearing the words “yep I’ll handle it” shocked me to my core, knowing that on the inside Joseph must have been battling his baser instincts screaming for him to flee the chitinous demon. But as I closed the door I once again caught a glimpse of a battle harden warrior; his face placid and his demeanor nonplussed as Joseph bravely faced down what was likely his final foe. Knowing that I had surely sent a man to die in my stead I latched the door and did the only thing I could. I fled. I am not proud of my actions but in the face of such a harrowing situation I had no other choice. Time passed. All eventually went silent and my coward’s heart allowed me to peek outside to see what fate befell Joseph M. At first I couldn’t believe what I saw. But after talking in the battlefield. A lone figure stood untouched in white coveralls, his face pointed skyward reflecting on what I am sure must have been an unspeakable struggle. Breaking the stillness of the moment, I asked “Did you get it?” And he replied “Yep, I got it”. As the white van pulled away moments later I was left with one thought. “ There goes my hero Joseph M. Wasp Slayer.“

Jordan has provided the most complete service since I’ve been a client. He even sprayed on my deck, which no one else has done. If these are new directions to the techs, hooray. If not, he did the best service. Thanks for putting him on my route.

I would like to thank Jeff for doing a great job today. In fact, I would like to request him in the future. Y’all were supposed to provide service a couple of weeks ago, and your guy showed up without the equipment to service the inside of my house. To be honest, I almost called you to cancel my service then. Instead I rescheduled. Today Jeff did exactly what I signed up for, but too often you don’t provide. He sprayed indoors and out, swept my eaves for spider webs and took care of a couple of wasp nests. He did a great job. Thank you very much.

Rick T.via Google

Very polite and wearing a mask (I appreciate that). Introduced himself and asked if any particular place was heavy with mosquitoes, I told him I work in my garage with the door open and he made sure to get that side of the house thoroughly.

Comprehensive Coverage and Exclusions

When selecting a pest control plan, homeowners should carefully consider which pests are included. Standard plans typically cover a broad array of common household pests, such as ants, spiders, cockroaches, and rodents. However, residents should be aware that some pests, like termites, bed bugs, and certain types of wildlife, may not be covered under general plans and could require specialized treatment. This distinction is vital for ensuring your home is protected against the full spectrum of potential invaders.

Understanding Contracts

Pest control services often require service agreements or contracts. These agreements generally outline the frequency of treatments, covered pests, and guarantees offered by the service provider. While some contracts may be annual, offering year-round protection and regular inspections, others might allow for more flexibility with monthly options or even the ability to cancel at any time. Homeowners should review these documents carefully to understand their rights and the provider's obligations.

Service Guarantees

Many pest control companies stand behind their service quality with guarantees. These can range from re-treatment promises if pests return between scheduled visits, to money-back offers if the problem persists despite repeated efforts. Homeowners should inquire about these guarantees before deciding on a service, as they offer peace of mind and a measure of the provider's confidence in their treatment effectiveness.

Treatment Expectations

First-time treatments are usually more in-depth and may include both interior and exterior inspections, as well as initial pest elimination efforts. Subsequent visits typically focus on maintaining a pest-free environment through ongoing prevention. Homeowners can expect professionals to treat areas where pests live and breed, apply preventative barriers, and monitor for any new activity. These procedures are designed with both effectiveness and household safety in mind.

Bundling Services and Add-ons

Homeowners can often benefit from bundled services, which may include comprehensive treatments for pests and termites, or pest and mosquito control. These packages can provide significant savings compared to purchasing each service separately. Additionally, add-on services such as tick control or specialized wildlife management may also be available to address more specific pest control needs.

Specialty Pest Treatment

For more challenging pest issues like termites, bed bugs, or significant wildlife intrusions, specialist treatments are often required. These services are typically more intensive and may use a variety of advanced techniques to eradicate the problem. Homeowners dealing with these types of pests should seek out providers with specific experience and expertise in these areas.

Deciding Between One-time and Recurring Services

While some pest situations may be resolved with a one-time treatment, others benefit from regular, recurring services to prevent new infestations. Homeowners should consider factors like the severity of the current pest problem and the likelihood of reinfestation when choosing between one-time treatments and ongoing maintenance plans.
