Great customer service from the start. The representative that answered the telephone, to the technician that came out to service the home, along with the inspector, all extended such great customer service. Time is of value, and arriving not only on time, but even earlier if available, was amazing, and so much appreciated. Great job, you guys rock

I recently moved and took the ORKIN service with me. They were able to have a technician service my new property within the first 24 hours! They did not skip a beat. I highly recommend.

Our local Orkin team came by on time and addressed the issue with the yellow jackets in our yard. We also received information on mosquito repellent and even the insulation in our attic that can help with pests. Overall I’m happy with the thoroughness of both the pest controller and the rep who did a walkthrough after. The pricing was reasonable for the amount of information and service we were provided.

We had a little misunderstanding on setting up the appointment (at the corporate level not the store that deals with my area) but they immediately came out the following day . I was even able to set the time that fit my schedule. Blake did a fantastic job. He was courteous of my belongs and very mindful of my 3 kids and pets. He listened to my concerns and took into consideration my opinion of how the pest are moving on a day to day. We worked out a plan together based off the information i provided. He was very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make sure we get the situation under control as fast as possible and to keep unwanted pest out of the home.

The man that was dispatched from ORKIN to treat our home was very courteous and proffessional . We were informed by text that he was on his way and again when he arrived . He answered all my questions and politely put on shoe covers to walk through our home . Job well done

Joshua came out and inspected our home and attic since we’ve had a daytime bat issue. He was on time and very professional. I would highly recommend them for future services!

I got a text from Brian this morning and I was very confused but wrong number. Still had amazing service don't currently need these services but when I do or know someone that does I'll recommend them. Very friendly service!

DSSD G. via google

My husband and I appreciated the more humane approach to extermination and the time spent during the inspection to explain the treatment. I did have to call for extra treatment since our moles were still present after initial treatment but they did schedule and complete as promised. We’re in our 3 months of treatment with prevention and so far the problem is under control. All in all a reliable service with competitive pricing but everything paid upfront and no ongoing deductions to keep track.

Therese S. via google

A couple of squirrels gnawed their way into my attic. I contracted Critter Control and they responded quickly to set up service. The squirrels were humanely removed and all possible openings were sealed within a week. A short time later, my attic was fogged to take care of any potential critters that remained. A very thorough job with a warranty. Very pleased with the service.

Joanne T. via google

We noticed a squirrel entering one of our roof eves and because a family member had recommended critter control we called them right away. The sales person came out and gave us a bid, indicating the work would take two to three days and they could have a team out within a couple of days. The price seemed high, but given that I can’t climb a ladder because of my disability, two or three days work for a crew seemed acceptable. A team of two young men showed up when they had said and spent a little less than 3 hours installing wire mesh over all of our roof eve openings and placing a one way the two eves that appeared damaged from birds and the squirrels, although the technicians said they didn’t hear or see anything in the eve. We had paid for 1/2 the service up front and were billed the remainder. While I’m happy to pay a fair wage, especially for services that I can’t do anymore, the six hours of labor and less than $100 of materials, seemed far less than the price and time the sales person had estimated. I called and was told a manager would call me back. I’ve been waiting about two weeks for a call back, but have only received another bill payment request and this request for a review. There is no local number provided on the website and the people I originally spoke with from their main office were not able to address the situation. The work done appears to be fine, but it’s up at the eves, so I can’t really tell the quality, time will tell if the squirrels or birds try to return, but it looks pretty good for now… the cost seems exorbitant compared to the labor and materials though and the company seems too big to provide a response to my inquiry. I do hope we can come to an agreement on finalizing the bill. My attempt to reply by email to their billing request failed so now I’m hoping they reach back out to me.

I was visited by Allen, south of Festus, MO last week and had the best service. Allen arrived on time with an enthusiastic and upbeat attitude willing to assist. He was very professional and knowledgeable about our situation and educated us. Allen went above and beyond by taking out of his personal time on the weekend to give me information on how to proceed with my pest problem. I would recommend Allen for special recognition in the work that he performs and Terminix for their services.

Jordan has provided the most complete service since I’ve been a client. He even sprayed on my deck, which no one else has done. If these are new directions to the techs, hooray. If not, he did the best service. Thanks for putting him on my route.

I would like to thank Jeff for doing a great job today. In fact, I would like to request him in the future. Y’all were supposed to provide service a couple of weeks ago, and your guy showed up without the equipment to service the inside of my house. To be honest, I almost called you to cancel my service then. Instead I rescheduled. Today Jeff did exactly what I signed up for, but too often you don’t provide. He sprayed indoors and out, swept my eaves for spider webs and took care of a couple of wasp nests. He did a great job. Thank you very much.

Rick T.via Google

Very polite and wearing a mask (I appreciate that). Introduced himself and asked if any particular place was heavy with mosquitoes, I told him I work in my garage with the door open and he made sure to get that side of the house thoroughly.

Montana was pleasant and most helpful in taking care of the service requested. We are happy and pleased with great service and the professional assistance given. SHB

Understanding Pricing for Pest Control

Costs for pest control in Highland, IL, can differ widely based on the type of service selected. Homeowners should anticipate an initial fee for the first in-depth treatment, followed by a recurring fee for ongoing service to keep pests at bay. One-time service fees typically fall within the range of $175 to $400, reflecting the labor-intensive nature of the initial treatment. For those opting for a comprehensive approach, recurring services may cost between $40 and $100 per month, ensuring that pests are managed effectively over time.

What Pests Are Included and Excluded?

Most general pest control plans cover a variety of common pests such as ants, spiders, cockroaches, rodents, millipedes, and wasps. However, specialty pests like termites, bed bugs, and certain types of wildlife may require additional, focused treatments and are typically not included in standard plans. Homeowners should confirm with service providers to understand the full list of pests covered by their chosen plan.

Service Contracts Explained

Service contracts for pest control in Highland often involve a commitment for yearly service, although many companies offer the flexibility to cancel at any time without penalty. These contracts authorize the provider to perform scheduled inspections and treatments, and they outline the service terms, including any guarantees or the option for additional visits if pests reappear between scheduled treatments.

The Assurance of Guarantees

A core aspect of pest control services is the guarantee offered. Many providers promise satisfaction, pledging to return and re-treat at no extra charge if pests persist. This reassurance offers homeowners peace of mind, knowing that their investment is protected and their home remains pest-free.

Treatment Day: What to Expect

During a pest control treatment, technicians will typically inspect your home, identify problem areas, and apply the appropriate treatments both inside and outside. Treatment methods can vary depending on the type of pests and the severity of the infestation but often include sealing up entry points, laying traps, and applying chemical or natural deterrents.

Savings Through Bundling and Add-On Services

To maximize value, pest control companies may offer bundled services that combine pest control with other treatments, such as mosquito control or termite inspections, often resulting in cost savings. Additionally, add-on services can be requested to tailor the service to specific needs, such as tick prevention or specialized rodent control.

Specialty Pest Considerations

For issues with specialty pests like termites or bed bugs, homeowners will require targeted treatment plans. These pests necessitate specific expertise and methods, typically incurring additional costs due to the complexity of their eradication.

Choosing Between One-Time and Recurring Services

Deciding between one-time and recurring pest control services depends on the nature of the pest problem. A one-time service may suffice for minor infestations, whereas recurring services offer ongoing prevention and are ideal for dealing with persistent or multiple pest issues.
