This is my second home using Western Exterminator. I've been a customer for over 20 years. My service is every other month on the exterior - front and back yard. I have had the interior done maybe 3 times! Occasionally I've had a little ant problem in the backyard but it's always due to the weather. They have always taken care of any issues, even if it's between my normal service! They've come out at no extra charge. Very reliable company, very good employees!

The same exterminator came by that I have worked with in the past. He was very nice. He checked an additional area in the house to make sore out wasn't new damage, it wasn't. He was very professional and pleasant.

We had a personable efficient tech today. But the previous 3 appts were cancelled causing us to question continuing with this company. We’ll see what happens with the next appt.

The tech took care of the problem caused by the main office in Atlanta not relaying crucial information to him (our dog throwing up after the borax based granular bait application even though we kept her away from the area). He even came up with a reason for the problem (grain based coating causing her problems due to a grain allergy she has.) He made sure we had his cell number so we could call him directly with problems. I am happy with the local Orkin office and would not hesitate to give them 5's. But the main office is frustrating to deal with and I can't give them 5's for that reason.

I would have recommended him for the service type that we had before but he apparently has left and decided to become and fire-fighter and the guy we currently have now claims 11 years of service, I don't find him as reliable, as communicative and they're not coming when they're suppose to be coming right now, in that, they're suppose to come late in the day so that we can let them in the house and treat the interior. It's now been a couple of months since he has come at a time when we could let him in and treat the interior, so not as happy with my service as I was used to. They've done a good job. They do come out reliably, they are responsive for a callback. So, if you really want them back, you can call them, they will come back at a time and work, so. The pricing is moderately expensive. I talk with the guy, he is a little bit talky. The first thing he did was remind me that they had 11 years of experience and then after that it was kind of like, well, you know, the other guy came out at 4:30 when we could let him in the house, when somebody might be home and he's called twice now, that's the night before, and said he's going to be out at 10 AM, nobody is going to be home to let him in the house, so the callbacks are going to be a problem. I really liked the other guy. And I have not had the chance to sit down with the new guy and there are a lots of crawlspaces in the house but I don't think some of them he even knows about.

The regular technician is very prompt and thorough. He has no problem answering my questions. Since having the regular service I have had almost no problem with ants and very little problem with spiders. The insulation in my attic was blown in and gives me an R90 (so I have told). I would recommend this comany to anyone else.

They have been wonderful. They always come when they say they will come and they always do what they say they will do. The guy that helps me is named Constantine. He is wonderful.

They are pretty good. They are not cheap or anything but overall, they are one of the best here. We had termites all over the house and they did quite a nice job. We don't have any more trouble with termites. They are the only ones we have used and I have never had any termite problems after they treat it. You get what you pay for.

Thanks to Terminix my carpenter ant problem that happens every year has gone away. I don’t have to worry about spiders either and they even helped me figure out how I can get rid of my bats. I appreciate the way I have been treated by the man who does the service and I no longer have to try to find or store chemicals that will do the job. I also like getting a text with the service provider’s phone and ETA.

Understanding Pest Control Costs and Services in Hillsboro, Oregon

When considering pest control services in Hillsboro, Oregon, homeowners can anticipate a range of prices influenced by several factors such as the size of their home, the severity of the pest problem, and the type of treatment required. Generally, pest control services can be categorized into one-time treatments, recurring service plans, and specialty pest treatments. On average, initial service fees might range from $175 to $399, while monthly service plans could vary from $40 to $100, not including possible discounts or promotions. It's essential for homeowners to understand that these costs represent an investment in their property's well-being and may save money in the long run by preventing more severe infestations.

Pest Coverage and Exclusions

Homeowners should know which pests are typically included in standard pest control plans. Generally, common household pests like ants, cockroaches, and spiders are covered, but it's crucial to note that not all services cover pests like termites, bed bugs, or wildlife. It's always good practice to confirm whether a potential infestation is included in your service plan to avoid any surprises.

Service Agreements and Contracts

Most pest control services require a service agreement or contract, typically ranging from one to two years. These contracts often outline the frequency of visits, covered pests, and the homeowner's obligations. Cancellation policies may vary, with some companies offering a penalty-free cancellation within a certain timeframe after the initial service.

Satisfaction Guarantees in Pest Control

Reputable pest control companies in Hillsboro usually offer some form of satisfaction guarantee. This means that if pests return between scheduled treatments, the company will provide additional services at no extra cost to the homeowner. This guarantee offers peace of mind and demonstrates the company's commitment to effective pest management.

Treatment Processes Explained

During a typical pest control treatment, technicians will inspect the property, implement measures to address current infestations, and take preventative steps to reduce future risks. This might include sealing entry points and using EPA-approved chemicals or traps. The specifics of the treatment will depend on the type of pests and the level of infestation.

Bundling Options and Additional Services

Homeowners can often save money by bundling various pest control services. Companies may offer discounts for combining termite, pest, and mosquito control plans. Additionally, homeowners can usually add services like tick control or specialized treatments for rodents that may require an additional fee.

Specialty Pest Treatments

For infestations of termites, bed bugs, and wildlife, homeowners may need to seek out specialized pest control plans. These pests require specific expertise and treatment methods, which are typically not included in general pest control plans. Homeowners should inquire about these services separately and ensure they choose a company with the appropriate skills and experience.

Choosing Between One-Time and Recurring Services

Deciding between a one-time treatment and a recurring service will depend on the homeowner's needs. While a one-time treatment can address an immediate problem, recurring services provide ongoing protection and are designed to manage pests throughout the year. Recurring plans are particularly beneficial for preventing infestations before they start.
