Common Pest Problems
Residents of Boston, Massachusetts may encounter a range of pests that can disrupt their daily lives and pose potential health risks. One common nuisance in this city is the presence of rodents, including mice and rats. These creatures are skilled at finding their way into buildings, where they can contaminate food, damage property, and spread diseases through their droppings. They are particularly active during colder months when they seek warmth and shelter.
Another prevalent pest in Boston is the cockroach. These resilient insects can survive in almost any environment and are known to thrive in urban areas. Cockroaches can contaminate surfaces and food with bacteria, and their presence is often associated with unclean environments. Moreover, Boston's coastal location can attract mosquitoes, which not only cause irritating bites but also carry diseases such as West Nile virus and Eastern equine encephalitis.
To tackle these pest-related challenges, it is crucial for residents of Boston to consider professional pest control services. Expert exterminators can provide tailored solutions to effectively address infestations, employing methods that are safe for both humans and the environment. By enlisting the help of these professionals, residents can regain peace of mind and protect their homes from the potential dangers associated with pests.

The technician arrived on time. Did the inspection and treatment and I haven't seen an ant since.
Mary J. via yelpWe have used this pest control since it was WatchAll for many years for our home in Hingham. We have been so lucky to have Judy as our service technician....
Susan W. via yelpWe have used this pest control service since the WatchAll days and love our long time service provider Judy. We use Ehrlich for preventative house pest control as well as environmentally friendly spraying for tick and mosquito control.
Eileen M. via yelpI'm surprised to see all the negative reviews below! I've been using Ehrlich for the last year or so and found them to be friendly, helpful and reactive. We've been using them for regular household maintenance rather than to get rid of a big pest problem, which is a difference from some of the other reviews, but they have come out and gotten rid of a wasp nest within 24 hours, and the technician did arrive on time. I've been happy with the services we've received from them and plant to continue using them for pest control in the future.

We had a yellow jacket nest behind our front light on the house. They treated the nest and said that it was in a tough spot but they would do another type of treatment if needed. It was needed and they made good on their word. They came back and treated again and it looks like the problem is resolved. The technician was courteous and kept me informed.
CJ via googleThe technicians that serviced our home, Chris and Isaiah, were both very knowledgable about their products and services. They were courteous, empathetic, thorough and effective. As a senior quality assurance engineer I truly appreciate good service and they delivered!!
Frisbee M. via googleI cannot recommend our tech Tony who came out today to service our house. He was professional, friendly and explained everything so well. Also, the rep who called me to schedule our initial visit was great! So far, the customer service has been too notch. Tony answered all our questions and concerns.
Rita K. via googleOkay, so it is a bit embarrassing for me to publicly show that I have an infestation. I call them “Greg’s,” but the infestation I actually have are roaches. Not too bad of an infestation. My family and I saw a couple (around 6-7) these past 2 weeks. I know from just learning from school that if you see one, you should get on it asap because that means there’s already an infestation since Greg’s (roaches) are very good at hiding. With that being said, I called Orkin because I was just so scared and clicked the first link that stood out to me. I saw how many years they were in business and took them as the solution. It took about 2 weeks for them to come over after the initial call. They had some scheduling conflict and had to push my scheduling to the week after. They are very busy and (admitted) to having not as many technicians available. Honestly, it’s the summer, it’s understandable. With that being said, I did get a $40 discount and they were willing to help me get someone out asap. Now onto the first session. So I just finished getting my house treated for the first time with Orkin. I had the pleasure of meeting Matt as he worked around the house. I honestly have nothing but good things to say about Matt. He was very very understanding of me and my anxiety and answered ALL my questions without judgement or getting annoyed at me and my many questions. He sprayed the house (the Greg’s were only on the first floor as Matt saw, so the first floor which included the living room, the kitchen, the restroom, the utility closet, the closet underneath the stairs, and the washing/drying machine area; and he sprayed the entire parameter around the outside of the house). He then put the sticky traps, put the hormone traps (so that they cannot grow out of their exoskeleton and will die, and cannot lay more eggs). And he checked all around the house for them. As I was talking and making conversations with him in an attempt to feel better, I genuinely started to. I feel safer. I feel much better after hearing the other horror houses he’s been to. And I feel like, this is definitely a worthy service and I’d love to continue their service as long as I have these pest issues. For the price, I feel like it’s totally worth it. I get a check up every other month for a year (and the contract will renew itself) and I get free check-ins in between services. I really do believe that I went with the right choice and if you’re going through what I’m going through, I recommend Orkin. I have immense anxiety over Greg’s and bugs in general, so this is something that I don’t take lightly about. Which is why I’m very glad to be doing business with Orkin. Thank you to Matt for everything today and making me feel so much better.
Kimi N. via googleI can’t say enough great things about Orkin. They came within the same day, and truly helped so much. They explained everything throughly. I also love that the products they use are safe for pets and kids to be near. Very thankful and happy with the service I got from them.

on Rodent and Wildlife ControlWe have had a great experience with Terminix (Woburn office in MA) thus far. David Eeley was the Senior Inspector who did our inspection and was very thorough and informative. I appreciate his candor and clear recommendations on how to tackle our pest problem. After speaking with multiple contractors, we decided to work with Terminix based on our experience with David. Today we had our 1st visit with our local technician, Angelo Santiago, who was fantastic. He was punctual and informed us when he was on his way. He again did a very thorough evaluation of the interior and exterior of the home, performed exclusion work, placed termite bait and other pest bait and traps throughout the home, moved appliances to get the bait/traps behind or underneath all major appliances and sprayed the exterior for insects. He also answered the many questions I had and was very professional throughout. We look forward to continuing to work with him!
Marielle Y. via googleTechnician Seth was very professional and informative. Seth spent a lot of time with me explaining the different insect species. I would definitely recommend Seth for acceleration in the Terminex business
Seth A. via googleOur technician was not only knowledgeable, friendly, and totally professional, he worked extremely hard sealing off our house from mice and other pests. And it worked! We caught in traps three mice the next morning, and have seen none in the house for multiple weeks since he left. Outstanding! (We learned that he has also performed similar service in the past for some of the Patriots, including Tom Brady.)
Loren R. via googleThe technicians at Terminix are often hit or miss. The most recent tech that has come out was amazing, I hope they just keep him. There have been a number of techs over the years, which is an indicator that they may not be the best place to work. The techs seem to do a good job overall, but once they get really good they seem to move on. The annual inspection was done by a gentleman who was from management who was really just trying to sell me on additional services which I was not interested in. I imagine if others were approached with the same information, they would buy it, hook line and sinker and waste a bunch of money. Overall I would rate Terminix better than the other pest services I’ve used in the area, you just wind up calling back a few times and needing return visits. Most recently, our tech Adam was great; he was thorough and very professional.
Harold via googleThe technician Michelle is great! Always on time, very professional and knowledgable. I would highly recommend her and Terminex. I’ve been using them for 10+ years and have always had a great experience with them.
