Our company uses Ehrlich for building pest control. They arrive once a month for review of the building and apply whatever is necessary to keep it pest free. We rarely see bugs and rodents have never been a problem since we began their service. They are professional and address any and all complaints that we express upon their arrival. We are completely satisfied and have no intentions of moving our service at this time.

I have used Ehrlich for years on contracts for a variety of critter and bug issues and have been reasonably happy. But...... they changed their system or something recently and randomly changed my quarterly appointment without notification. I noticed the discrepancy the week prior when a reminder email showed up. I called and asked why my 7am first call on a Thursday had been moved to Wednesday sometime between 9-5 without notice and I was told my tech had a busy day on Thursday with a big termite job. I told them this is bad practice and we rescheduled to a convenient time. Now here is the kicker. The day of the appointment a brand new tech shows up. I thought perhaps my regular tech was sick or out but no - Ehrlich had reassigned the territory and he is my new permanent tech. Talk about bad bad bad communication. I generally like the techs and this new one seems fine but honestly why didn't you communicate your change in process? Either by email or certainly when I called. The rep actually lied to me when I called and questioned the random change to my appointment. Or he had no idea about the reorg either. This is when companies lose customers.

We've been using Orkin for over a year. We have a wonderful dedicated service agent who knows our house and is very knowledgeable about the bugs and vermin present in our area. Thanks to Orkin our house is mostly bug-free year round. We're very happy with this company and highly recommend them.

Got a surprise call today from my local Orkin inspector. He could be in my area in about 20 minutes. I said great, see you soon. He was a very polite gentleman, gave everything a good look. I told him of some plans I had for the near future. And he was on his way. I was glad he didn't find any problems.

Bob is our local representative, and he is fantastic. He’s very responsive and punctual. There have been a few occasions I have forgotten he was coming and my kids have left their toys out and in his way. Instead of spraying around them or coming back another time he took the time to move them to an area where they would not be sprayed on. That says a lot about his level of professionalism and his dedication to make sure he’s doing his job as safely as possible.

Orkin (located in Washington PA), has been well worth the cost of the service.. The service people are always personable and professional. All questions are pleasantly and informatively answer. They call the evening before to let me know what time period they expect to arrive, in a 2 hour window. They have never been late. Very happy with office.

Understanding Pest Control Costs and Services in Wheeling, WV

When residents of Wheeling, West Virginia consider pest control services, they are faced with a variety of options and pricing structures. On average, homeowners can expect to pay between $40 to $100 per month for general pest prevention plans. This cost often fluctuates based on the size of the property, severity of infestation, and specific treatment requirements. Most companies also charge an initial fee, which can range from $175 to $350, often including a comprehensive inspection and initial treatment. Some promotions may offer discounts on this fee, providing a lower cost entry point for ongoing pest management.

Pest Coverage Details

Homeowners should be aware of the range of pests covered by their chosen plan. Typically, general pest control services in Wheeling include protection against common invaders such as ants, spiders, mice, and cockroaches. However, it's important to note that special pests like termites, bed bugs, and wildlife often require separate, specialized treatment plans. Be sure to check your service agreement for a detailed list of pests included and excluded from your coverage.

Understanding Service Contracts

Most pest control companies offer service agreements that outline the terms of service, including frequency of visits and what treatments are included. These contracts can typically be canceled at any time, although some may include a cancellation fee if terminated before the end of the agreed term. Knowing the specifics of your service contract can help avoid unexpected fees and ensure you receive the services you expect.

The Assurance of Guarantees

A guarantee is an assurance that if the pest issue persists after treatment, the company will provide additional services at no extra cost. Many pest control companies in Wheeling offer some form of satisfaction guarantee, often including free re-treatments between scheduled visits if pests reappear. This commitment reflects the company's confidence in their services and provides peace of mind for homeowners.

Treatment Expectations

During an initial pest control treatment, technicians typically conduct a thorough inspection of your property, identify pest activity, and implement an appropriate treatment plan. This may involve sealing entry points, applying repellents, and setting traps. Regularly scheduled treatments maintain a protective barrier around your home to prevent future infestations. Understanding what happens during these visits can help homeowners prepare and ensure that the treatment is as effective as possible.

Bundling Services for Savings

Homeowners can often save money by bundling pest control with other services, such as termite or mosquito treatment. Companies may offer discounted rates when multiple services are combined, which can be a cost-effective way to address all your pest concerns. Add-on services may also be available for an extra fee, providing targeted protection against specific pests not covered under general plans.

Specialized Pest Challenges

While general pest control plans cover a broad range of common pests, homeowners may sometimes face issues with more challenging invaders like termites, bed bugs, or rodents. Specialized treatment plans are available for these pests, often involving more intensive and targeted approaches. It's important to address these infestations promptly with the right expertise to prevent extensive damage to your property.

Choosing Between One-Time and Recurring Services

Deciding between one-time and recurring pest control services depends on your specific needs. One-time treatments can be effective for dealing with an immediate problem, while recurring services offer ongoing protection and prevention. Companies that offer recurring services usually provide regular inspections and treatments at set intervals, ensuring continuous defense against pest invasion.
