This is my second home using Western Exterminator. I've been a customer for over 20 years. My service is every other month on the exterior - front and back yard. I have had the interior done maybe 3 times! Occasionally I've had a little ant problem in the backyard but it's always due to the weather. They have always taken care of any issues, even if it's between my normal service! They've come out at no extra charge. Very reliable company, very good employees!

Travis always provides excellent customer service. He listens to my concerns and answers my questions. He’s always on time. I appreciate and trust Travis

Susan M.via Google

The same exterminator came by that I have worked with in the past. He was very nice. He checked an additional area in the house to make sore out wasn't new damage, it wasn't. He was very professional and pleasant.

We had a personable efficient tech today. But the previous 3 appts were cancelled causing us to question continuing with this company. We’ll see what happens with the next appt.

My service tech Bruce Stone is amazing. Always on time always calls before arriving as he knows i work and tend to forget (even tho i get text and email reminders i still forget) and let's me know exactly what is going on doing..and the price is good too..

Richard Chin was a great technician. He was on time, very professional & took time out to walk us through what he would be doing step by step. The last technician Orkin gave us had very poor customer service skills. I’m glad this experience was better than the last.

Artesha C. via google

Bruce is the Orkin representative that has repeatedly come to my house. He is always friendly and professional. He does an extremely thorough job when he is here. He is the best Orkin rep that I have ever had. I hope he sticks around for a while.

Kim F. via google

They are accommodating, respectful, personable, professional, customer friendly, understanding, responsive, communicative, thoughtful, and informative. I left out one MAJOR detail. John O'Connor was GREAT and did a very thorough job for us. We appreciate the care he took with our service.

Chey A. T. via google

The one thing we don’t love about Orkin is they will schedule you without confirming with you. Then if you have to reschedule too many times, they will revoke their services. I missed a call from them then I called back about an hour later, and they didn’t answer. Then I got a text saying I was scheduled for Tuesday 2-5pm. Luckily we were able to rush home from work in time, so we didn’t have to reschedule. The one thing we absolutely LOVE about Orkin is Kevin. He is absolutely phenomenal at his job, he is so thorough and really takes his time to take care of the issue. He knows so much about the bugs and has so many interesting facts he shares with us. Every time he comes to our home, we have great conversations with him while he is working. He is really just a wonderful person who deserves the world, and he’s such a hard worker! Please give that man a raise or some PTO or something!!! We’ve had other exterminators from Orkin come by but Kevin is by far the best!

Alan Bunting did a thorough job in treating my yard. I have gophers, moles and voles. He contacted his manager for a specific treatment plan for my yard. I appreciated his concern.

Dorothy L. via google

Critter Conteol has serviced my property for many years, controlling a rodent problem. They have done a good job but I have noticed a decline in the level of service lately. They used to let me know when they were coming but stopped. I mentioned it to them and I did get a notice last time. The last visit, though, the tech could only find 3 of the 6 stations they themselves put out. At one time they had a diagram but I guess no more. So they only did half the job this month

Robert K. via google

Critter Control is responsive and professional. Kudos to the support staff.

Craig J. via google

Had a bat in my house, called to make sure we did not have more

Pete K. via google

Zac went above and beyond in helping relocate a Mama raccoon and her babies from under our deck and then enclosed it so wildlife won’t be tempted to take up residence again. It took a bit to get scheduling coordinated but once they were onsite, they did an outstanding job!

Understanding Pest Control Costs and Services in Renton, Washington

For homeowners in Renton, Washington, managing pests is an essential part of maintaining a safe and comfortable living space. With the diverse climate and environment, a variety of pests, from ants to rodents, can invade homes, prompting the need for professional pest control services. Pricing for these services often depends on several factors, including the size of your home, the severity of the infestation, and the specific pests you’re dealing with. Typically, homeowners might expect monthly fees for general pest control services to range from $40 to $100, with initial visits potentially costing between $175 and $350. These prices can fluctuate based on the pest control plan you choose and any additional services required.

Coverage Details

When selecting a pest control service in Renton, you’ll find that different plans cover a variety of pests. Most basic plans include common insects like ants, spiders, cockroaches, and mice; however, they often exclude more complex pests such as termites, bed bugs, and specific wildlife. It’s critical to review the list of pests covered by your chosen plan to confirm it meets your home’s needs.

Signing a Contract

Pest control companies usually require a service contract, which can be for a year or longer. These agreements typically outline the frequency of treatments and what’s included in the service. While contracts are common, many companies offer the option to cancel at any time, some even without a penalty, providing flexibility and peace of mind to homeowners.

Service Guarantees

Reputable pest control services often come with a guarantee to provide a certain level of satisfaction. If pests return between scheduled treatments, companies usually offer to re-service the affected areas at no additional charge. This commitment is central to maintaining a pest-free environment and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Treatment Expectations

During initial and subsequent treatments, technicians focus on both the interior and exterior of the home. They may apply treatments to kitchens, basements, and perimeters, and set monitoring traps to gauge pest activity. The goal is to create a comprehensive barrier against pests while monitoring for any new activity.

Bundle and Save

Many pest control companies offer the option to bundle services for added savings. Bundling can include combining general pest control with termite or mosquito treatments, potentially saving homeowners a significant amount of money compared to purchasing these services separately.

Dealing with Specialty Pests

While general pest control plans tackle common nuisances, specialty pests such as termites, bed bugs, and certain wildlife require targeted treatments. These pests often need more intensive and specific methods to effectively eliminate them from your home.

Choosing Between One-Time and Recurring Services

Homeowners have the option to choose between one-time treatments and ongoing, recurring pest control services. One-time treatments can be effective for immediate issues, but recurring services provide ongoing protection and often come with additional guarantees to keep your home pest-free over time.
