Once upon a time a farmer plowed his corn field and all the mice lost their homes and had to find new mousy dwellings. SAD. Once upon a time a human family was watching TV and noticed a shadow running along the base boards. Maybe we are seeing things said the husband to the wife. Then it happened again and again. MAD. The human family needed help and so they called Ehrlich Pest Control. Two super heroes were sent to the human residence to solve this pesky pet problem. The mice are gone, the humans are.....GLAD.

When they changed their name, man came out without having right chemicals; he drilled holes and left; it rained and then he came back. Doesn't seem right to apply chemicals after rain. I have to call them ea. year to have someone come out and still don't think they come every year. The warranty doesn't seem to be very inclusive.

I live in an Ashburn "luxury" apartment complex and ended up with a terrible roach problem. The technician that came to my place, Jack, was OUTSTANDING. He walked me through everything that he would be doing and what kind of treatments he would be applying. Though not the most fun of situations, Jack was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and an all around AWESOME guy. He had to (an continues) to check back and do anything necessary and even had to do a larger treatments where we had to be out of the apartment for several hours. He explained EVERYTHING beforehand and warned me about any possible issues. Though he and his company are contracted through the apartment complex Jack has been the one person that has been most helpful through all this mess. He is an awesome technician and did everything he could to reassure me about the infestation, explained how his company would help resolve it and did everything in his power to make the experience as easy as possible. THANK YOU JACK!!

I have dealt with Ehrlich many times over the past 5 years both personally and professionally and I have always had a wonderful experience. I have had great luck with technicians that care over the years including, Bill, Ben, Jeff and now, Richard. Richard will go the extra mile to make sure that my customers and myself are satisfied. He knows we hold the highest standards in customer satisfaction and is willing to meet the mark. Thank you for your exceptional customer service! Sometimes there is a breakdown in communication when you call the central office for scheduling. Luckily this can usually be avoided by reaching technicians directly.

Took care of our problem the first time we called them, but then launch failure when we called a few years later. Promised to have someone call us back within the hour twice but never happened.

8/20/20 A few days ago I saw a groundhog eating green grass and minding it's own business on the school property of Luther Jackson Middle School. Evidently a family of groundhog has made its home on the school grounds. I have seen the cute animal in different areas of the football fields. Evidently the green grass and the water source makes this area a hot commodity. Today; however, all this has come to an end. I saw to bages with black bags to hold these animals. I don't know if they are alive or dead, but one way or another they are being transferred off of school grounds. How many groundhogs were living on school property? I do not know. The guy I met who seemed to be the manager said "the groundhogs would be transferred." Yeah, but to where? I enjoyed seeing some wildlife other than humans and dogs. It saddens me I won't see more of these furry little guys. Aside from this, the Critter Control d ij d their jobs.

Understanding Pest Control Costs and Services in Hagerstown, Maryland

When considering pest control solutions in Hagerstown, Maryland, homeowners face an array of options and pricing structures. Pest control services can vary significantly based on numerous factors, such as the size of your property, level of infestation, and specific treatment plans required. In general, residents can anticipate an initial fee ranging from $175 to $350, with monthly costs for ongoing services typically falling between $40 and $100. These expenses cover a comprehensive approach to mitigate pest issues effectively, ensuring your home remains a sanctuary free from unwanted critters.

Service Plans and Pricing Breakdown

Residents in Hagerstown seeking to protect their homes from pests will find that the market offers a variety of service plans, each with its own pricing model. Generally, the initial visit by a pest control professional will carry a fee, which includes a detailed assessment and the initial treatment to address active infestations. Following this, monthly or quarterly service plans keep pests at bay by maintaining a barrier against future invasions. These plans not only involve regular inspections but also include preventive treatments and, in many cases, a guarantee that allows for additional visits if pests reappear between scheduled services.

Covered Pests and Excluded Critters

A standard pest control plan typically addresses a range of common household pests, which may include ants, spiders, roaches, mice, and more. However, not all plans are comprehensive—some may exclude particularly troublesome pests like termites, bed bugs, and certain species of spiders. It's important to confirm which pests are included in your service agreement to avoid unexpected encounters or additional charges.

Understanding Contracts

Signing up for a pest control service often involves a contract, which details the terms of service, frequency of treatments, and duration of the agreement. While some companies offer flexibility with no cancellation fees, others might require a commitment for a year or more, with penalties for early termination. Homeowners should carefully review these contracts to align their expectations with the services provided.

Service Guarantees

Many pest control companies stand behind their work with a service guarantee. This often means that if pests persist after treatment, the company will return to handle the issue at no additional cost. Guarantees vary by company, so it's essential to understand the specifics of what is promised and under what circumstances the guarantee applies.

What Happens During Treatment

The pest control process involves several steps to ensure effectiveness. Initially, a thorough inspection identifies problem areas and determines the appropriate treatment. Following this, targeted treatments are applied to affected zones, and preventive measures are taken to reduce future risk. The exact methods will vary depending on the pests involved and the level of infestation.

Bundles and Additional Services

For homeowners dealing with multiple pest types or seeking more comprehensive coverage, bundling services can offer cost savings. Many companies provide options to combine general pest control with termite, mosquito, or other specialty pest services. Add-ons can enhance protection but will come with additional fees, so it's wise to weigh the benefits against the overall cost.

Specialty Pest Treatments

Some infestations require specialized treatment plans beyond general pest control services. Termites, bed bugs, and wildlife are examples of pests that often necessitate targeted eradication methods. Homeowners should inquire about the availability and pricing of these specialty services, as they are typically more intensive and costly.

One-Time Service vs. Recurring Plans

While many pest control companies emphasize the benefits of ongoing service plans, one-time treatments are also available for isolated issues. Recurring plans offer long-term prevention and often come with guarantees, whereas one-time services may be more budget-friendly but lack the assurance of continued protection. Homeowners must consider their specific needs and preferences when choosing between these options.
