We decided to use Terminix at our home and am happy we made that decision. SECOND update: Just finished with second treatment. Jake and Justin were on time, happy to answer questions, thorough, and professional. Very happy with Aptive. UPDATE: I was told it might take 2-3 weeks for the silverfish to get gone. Saw several on Day 2 after spraying; have not seen another since then. I am beyond happy with Aptive in our home! Everyone at this company has been extremely helpful and informative, from the account rep (Avery) to the guys who showed up to spray for critters (Shawn and partner). Aptive was able to address our issues next day, great for peace of mind. They were friendly, on time and very patient with my questions. The communication before arriving was excellent. No chemical smell or sticky residue. This was a painless process, and will be perfect when it works, especially considering it’’s not harmful to the environment. UPDATE: I was told it might take 2-3 weeks for the silverfish to get gone. Saw several on Day 2 after spraying; have not seen another since then. I am beyond happy with Aptive in our home!

Common Pest Problems

Pennsylvania residents can encounter a range of pest-related challenges due to the state's diverse climate and geography. One common issue is with ants, including carpenter ants and odorous house ants. These tiny creatures can infest homes, causing structural damage or emitting unpleasant odors. Additionally, residents may face problems with rodents such as mice and rats. These pests can enter homes through small openings and contaminate food, spread diseases, and damage property. Mosquitoes are another nuisance, especially during warm months, as they can transmit diseases like West Nile virus.

Residents might also contend with stinging insects like yellow jackets and wasps, which can cause painful and potentially dangerous stings. Furthermore, Pennsylvania is home to various types of spiders, including black widows and brown recluses, which can pose a threat to humans. Lastly, termites present a significant concern as they silently damage structures, leading to costly repairs.

To mitigate these pest-related issues, it is advisable for Pennsylvania residents to consider professional pest control services. Expert pest control companies can assess the situation, identify the specific pests, and implement effective strategies to eliminate infestations and prevent future occurrences. Their knowledge of local pests and experience in dealing with them can help residents safeguard their homes and ensure peace of mind.
