We love brad our technician. He is so friendly and does such a great job. We used to use terminix and was not very pleased with their customer service. I would highly recommend Orkin. They are very thorough and don't mind coming back out if they need to multiple times at no extra charge.

Paul was extremely patient while we were trying to capture the last cat. Finally he suggested a different way to get things moving — and it worked. He answered all of our questions. And he moved quickly and got everything done. Thanks for a job well done.

Discovered a nasty hive of yellow jackets in our siding by the main entrance of our cottage. Called the Orkin guy! They came out the next day and took care of the danger-flies without breaking the bank. Thank you, Orkin!

I was charged over $2000 for a little foam sprayed in the base of 3 small walls, and some chemical sprayed around a wall underneath the house. The quote was for a trench to be dug around the perimeter of the house and treatment applied with spot treatment for active areas inside the home. This was an extremely expensive job for the amount of chemicals and work involved. Granted I have a very tight crawlspace but for that price, I definitely would not recommend this business. I hope the treatment works for a long time. Because I'm an elderly person that has been taken advantage of in a bad situation. Update, after the aforementioned post, Orkin management reached out to me. Came to the house and observed the lack of duty and informed me that they would return to do the job correctly. A long story short, they came out today re-did the spray in the walls and trenched and sprayed around the perimeter of the house. The manager remained on site and made sure that the job was done correctly. I think his name is Mike. Thanks again Mike for being a man of integrity. It's great to know that some people still maintain a strong sense of integrity. I changed my rating to 5 stars.

Essential Coverage: Pests Included and Excluded

Pest control services in Marion typically offer comprehensive protection against a variety of common household pests. These often include ants, spiders, cockroaches, mice, and more. However, it's important to note that not all pests are covered under standard plans. Specialty pests like termites, bed bugs, and certain types of wildlife may require additional, targeted treatment plans. When considering pest control options, homeowners should pay close attention to the list of covered pests to ensure that their specific concerns are addressed.

Signing on the Dotted Line: Understanding Contracts

Many pest control companies require service agreements or contracts that outline the terms of service, including the frequency of treatments and the duration of the contract. Typically, these agreements last for a year and might include clauses that allow for cancellation without penalty, ensuring flexibility for the homeowner. However, homeowners should always read the fine print carefully before committing to a contract to avoid any unexpected obligations or fees.

Promises Made: The Importance of Guarantees

Quality pest control providers stand behind their work with guarantees. These reassurances often include promises to return and re-treat the area at no additional cost if pests reappear between scheduled visits. Some companies even offer a money-back guarantee if the homeowner is not satisfied with the service, highlighting their commitment to solving pest issues effectively.

Treatment Day: Setting Expectations

During an initial pest control treatment, technicians typically conduct a thorough inspection of the property to identify pest entry points and areas of infestation. This is followed by targeted treatments using approved methods and products to address the specific pest problems. Homeowners can expect follow-up treatments as part of recurring service plans to maintain a pest-free environment over time.

Beyond the Basics: Bundling and Add-On Services

To maximize value and effectiveness, pest control companies offer bundling options that combine general pest control with services like termite inspection or mosquito treatment. Add-on services provide an opportunity for homeowners to customize their pest control plan to include additional protections against a wider range of pests, often at a discounted rate when bundled with a general plan.

Specialized Invaders: Addressing Specialty Pests

While general pest control plans handle common pests, issues with termites, bed bugs, or wildlife require specialized treatment methods. These infestations often demand a more comprehensive approach, using advanced techniques and specialized products to eliminate the pests effectively. Homeowners facing such challenges should seek out pest control providers with expertise in these areas.

Choosing Your Approach: One-Time Versus Recurring Service

Homeowners must decide between one-time treatments or recurring service plans. While one-time treatments can address an immediate problem, recurring services provide ongoing protection and prevention, reducing the likelihood of future infestations. It's a decision that hinges on the homeowner's long-term pest management goals and the current state of their property.
