The first time I called Orkin, Carlos was here within an hour! He has been the one to come consistently. Great to have one person that you can really get to know. Carlos has been wonderful. He explains everything in detail, and gets the job done with a smile on his face!

Ryan is a very attention to detail person. He was punctual and communicated effectively. I would recommend him if you need pest control services.

Rick G. via google

Our technician was efficient, pleasant, informative and unobtrusive! He checked the property, then treated an active area by the least invasive means available for now. A professional visit, as always.

Carol A. via google

Raymond was the technician and he was so client focused on making sure he met all of your needs. Raymond went above and beyond. I will recommend him every time I need help with insects. Orkin is an excellent company.

Maureen M. via google

We have used Orkin for 10 years and are bug and pest free which is saying something in AZ. I’m so impressed I hired them to treat our daughter’s home in New Mexico…. No more spiders! Mt tech is Alex and he is very professional, very knowledgeable, and always communicates what he’s doing and what he finds even if it’s nothing. I highly recommend him and Orkin

Chuck is very courteous and professional, very respectful, it's clear to me, he knows his job well and has great customer service skills. He gave me a few tips to help better discern termite activity and he's very reassuring, confident and kind, I think that's important dealing with termites can be stressful situation to homeowner. I appreciate his professionalism, so I request Chuck and I'm willing to wait a few days or so, until he can come out to treat/ inspect if need be because he's quite knowledgeable and really knows what he's doing,, and i appreciate his responsiveness, he gets me on the schedule first thing next day he shows up, I really do appreciate it.🙏

Noname N. via google

Victor is very professional, prompt and always goes the extra yard to get the job done. We feel safe from any kind of critters the desert of AZ is plagued with.

Grg V. via google

I received a 10 star experience! Jason was outstanding— both thorough and polite as he inspected my home inside and out. He then sent me a 10 page report on his findings. This was an absolute shock to me since in the past two years no one has knocked on my door or sent me a report or an email of any kind. Jason is an outstanding representative of Terminix.

Kate via google

We use Terminix and have overall had a decent experience. My review is concerns regarding safety and the phone system. The phone system does not allow you to talk to anyone and will hang up on you. It’s bet difficult to contact customer service. For the “safety “ part we’ve come home every time with our back gate swinging open because the techs are too lazy to simply put the brick back to keep the gate closed (we have a key code lock so it doesn’t latch and we put the brick there to keep it closed during the times they come to spray). It’s really not that hard to put a brick back. I wasn’t even planning on writing a review but after attempting to call multiple times I’m just over it.

Ashley J. via google

Daniel, the technician who came out today, was fabulous. He was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly a hard worker. He addressed the termite problem efficiently, treated the area thoroughly, and cleaned up afterward. Everything was handled in a timely manner, and he took the time to answer all of my questions. Excellent service!

Elliott the technician was so professional and so knowledgeable when I didn’t know anything about termites. We appreciate him so much when closing for selling our house is approaching in 4 days. Thank you Truely Nolan, we are forever a customer 😊

Sharon C. via google

I can’t say enough about the TrulyNolan team that is working on my property/home. Jon Moshier, Evan Klees, Jim Goff. Everything from pest control to rodent control. A HUGE rat got inside my home and I was freaking out. I was face to face with it this morning. Cornered it in my bathroom closet. These creative guys rigged up a “catch system” and caught it!! Was ready to move to my daughters for fear of another encounter. They put out extra traps and will then sanitize everything. Closed off all possible entry points. All three of them went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in my new home again. They will also be coming out several times to check traps and make sure everything is safe, clean and unwelcoming to unwanted pests of all sizes. Thanks guys! I TRULY am a happy homeowner this morning thanks to these guys.

Charli M. via google

Jonny did a good job caulking our house. He came when he said he would and stayed til the job was finished. It took him all afternoon. Thanks.

Coral S. via google

Thorough initial premises inspection at my house this week, including treating the yard, garage and house proactively. Very reliable and knowledgeable technicians for my start up month of pest control.

Very nice and professional tech came out and did an awesome job here in Golden Valley! Recommend!

Used them to get rid of some critters in my attic. They trapped and blocked off the rats that were getting in and leaving a mess. Were quick to respond and did a great job. Highly recommend them if you are having pest or animal issues

Isaiah S. via yelp

We had a pigeon coming and going through the return vent on roof. Scott came out to check the entry point and went through the attic. The amount of pigeon poop in the vent was absurd. The price was a bit high but the amount of work they did made it tolerable. The health risk outweighed the price to sanitize, clean and seal our vents. This took most of the day. Ray was our technician and very professional and very sensitive to clean up after himself. I would recommend this company.

S M. via yelp

We had 2 pigeons in the chimney that needed to come out via the fireplace (the flue is too small to net them and get them out through the top). The service was very good. I called on Tuesday afternoon; Scott came out to do an estimate Wednesday morning. Garrett came out quickly afterwards to get the pigeons out. Both gentlemen were professional, and Garrett did the work quickly and well. Those pigeons were out in 20 minutes. The loss of 2 stars is for the astronomical price it took. $1100 to get the pigeons out; it took 20 minutes and no special equipment. I just hate birds and doubly hate pigeons, and I would never be able to hold one. I realize that there's a premium for professional services, and I would have thought that half that price would be more reasonable, but it was either pay or deal with it myself. That would have been a disaster. The service was great, but the price was awful.

Kelly H. via yelp

Best company every, solved our problem and for under the cost I thought. I saw a review about feral cat removal, they said they did not even do that job. Great company and great service. Just plain good people. I love how people post reviews when they have no idea what they are talking about.

John S. via yelp

I had my basement window wells and other openings professionally sealed to prevent invasive small animals out of my back yard and I am very happy with the work. The technician Tyler was courteous and the work he performed was top notch.

The customer service from Hawx has always been exceptional. The service technicians are knowledgeable and professional. Connors Trader went the extra mile to make sure he listened to our needs regarding the ant problem we had. He did a wonderful job on our property.

Jordan has provided the most complete service since I’ve been a client. He even sprayed on my deck, which no one else has done. If these are new directions to the techs, hooray. If not, he did the best service. Thanks for putting him on my route.

Sue B.via Google

I would like to thank Jeff for doing a great job today. In fact, I would like to request him in the future. Y’all were supposed to provide service a couple of weeks ago, and your guy showed up without the equipment to service the inside of my house. To be honest, I almost called you to cancel my service then. Instead I rescheduled. Today Jeff did exactly what I signed up for, but too often you don’t provide. He sprayed indoors and out, swept my eaves for spider webs and took care of a couple of wasp nests. He did a great job. Thank you very much.

Rick T.via Google

Very polite and wearing a mask (I appreciate that). Introduced himself and asked if any particular place was heavy with mosquitoes, I told him I work in my garage with the door open and he made sure to get that side of the house thoroughly.

Montana was pleasant and most helpful in taking care of the service requested. We are happy and pleased with great service and the professional assistance given. SHB

This is my second home using Western Exterminator. I've been a customer for over 20 years. My service is every other month on the exterior - front and back yard. I have had the interior done maybe 3 times! Occasionally I've had a little ant problem in the backyard but it's always due to the weather. They have always taken care of any issues, even if it's between my normal service! They've come out at no extra charge. Very reliable company, very good employees!

Sonda H.via Google

Travis always provides excellent customer service. He listens to my concerns and answers my questions. He’s always on time. I appreciate and trust Travis

Susan M.via Google

The same exterminator came by that I have worked with in the past. He was very nice. He checked an additional area in the house to make sore out wasn't new damage, it wasn't. He was very professional and pleasant.

Greta L.via Google

We had a personable efficient tech today. But the previous 3 appts were cancelled causing us to question continuing with this company. We’ll see what happens with the next appt.

Common Pests in Arizona

Residents of Arizona are no strangers to the challenges posed by various pests that thrive in the state's unique climate and geography. The warm weather and arid conditions create an ideal habitat for pests, making it common for residents to encounter unwelcome visitors in their homes and businesses. One pest that is particularly prevalent in Arizona is the cockroach. These resilient insects are known for their ability to survive in harsh environments and can quickly multiply if left unchecked. They can contaminate food and surfaces, spread diseases, and trigger allergies or asthma attacks.

Another pest commonly found in Arizona is the scorpion. With their intimidating appearance and painful sting, encountering a scorpion in or around the home can be a distressing experience. These nocturnal creatures often seek shelter in dark and cool areas, making attics, garages, and crawl spaces prime spots for infestation. While most scorpion stings are not life-threatening, they can cause severe pain, swelling, and other discomforting symptoms.

Termites are also a significant concern in Arizona, posing a threat to homes and buildings. These silent destroyers feed on wood, causing extensive structural damage that can be expensive to repair. With Arizona's high termite activity and dry climate, residents should remain vigilant in detecting signs of infestation, such as discarded wings, mud tubes, or hollow-sounding wood.

In order to protect their homes and ensure the well-being of their families, residents of Arizona may find it beneficial to enlist the expertise of a professional pest control service. These specialists can identify and appropriately treat infestations, implementing both preventative and reactive measures to effectively eliminate pests and minimize the risk of future problems.

Annual Pest Control Service

Arizona is home to a diverse range of pests that can pose a threat to both residential and commercial properties. Effective pest control services are essential in maintaining a healthy and pest-free environment throughout the year. Whether it's battling ants in the spring or dealing with rodents in the winter, professional pest control expertise can help address and prevent infestations. Here are some key reasons why pest control service is important in Arizona:

  • Spring (March, April, May):
  • Ants become more active and start foraging for food.
  • Bees and wasps begin to build their nests, posing a stinging hazard.
  • Termites swarm, looking for new areas to establish colonies.
  • Mosquitoes become more prevalent, increasing the risk of diseases like West Nile virus.
  • Summer (June, July, August):
  • Cockroaches thrive in the warm weather and multiply rapidly.
  • Scorpions become more active, seeking shelter in cool indoor spaces.
  • Spiders spin their webs in search of prey.
  • Flies and gnats are common nuisances during outdoor activities.
  • Fall (September, October, November):
  • Rodents start seeking warmth indoors as temperatures cool down.
  • Bed bugs become more active and may infest homes or hotels.
  • Spiders seek shelter indoors, increasing sightings.
  • Mosquitoes may still be active until the first frost.
  • Winter (December, January, February):
  • Rodents, such as mice and rats, look for shelter and food indoors.
  • Cockroaches seek warmth and moisture in buildings.
  • Ants may invade homes looking for food and water.
  • Silverfish and pantry pests may be attracted to stored food items.
  • Regular pest control services throughout the year can help prevent infestations, protect property, and ensure the well-being of residents. By addressing specific pest issues associated with each season, professional exterminators can help maintain a pest-free environment and provide peace of mind to homeowners and businesses in Arizona.

    Arizona Pest Resources

Arizona is home to a variety of pests, wildlife, and invasive plant and animal species that can pose challenges for residents. Fortunately, the state offers several resources to help address these issues. The Arizona Pest Management Center, located at the University of Arizona, provides valuable information and expertise on pest control. They offer educational resources, fact sheets, and advice on managing pests in and around the home. Contact them at 520-626-5161 or visit their website at pest.arizona.edu.

For wildlife control, the Arizona Game and Fish Department can assist residents in dealing with nuisance wildlife. They provide information on how to safely and humanely handle conflicts with wildlife, as well as a list of licensed wildlife control operators. You can reach them at 602-942-3000 or visit their website at azgfd.com.

When it comes to invasive plant and animal species, the Arizona Department of Agriculture plays a crucial role. They have a dedicated Pest Management Division that focuses on preventing the introduction and spread of invasive species. For information and assistance, contact them at 602-542-3578 or visit their website at agriculture.az.gov.

Remember, it's important to consult with professionals and follow local regulations to ensure safe and effective pest control methods.
