He assures me that Orkin is dedicated to getting rid of a biting fly issue. I believe his word at this time…. He is very kind and patient and listened to my long story:)
Kathy S. via googleDaniel Clark was super awesome!!! He answered all my questions, we got everything set up same day, and he gave us all peace of mind in his walk through. Couldn't have asked for a better representative to come out!
Gabrielle F. via googleAlex and everyone at Orkin, who has come out to protect and treat our home for pests, has always been professional, courteous, efficient, and timely. They always ask questions to treat for specific areas or pests, and they are very respectul of our property. They even wear shoe coverings/booties, which we really appreciate! When we saw pests inbetween our regular appointments, they came out to treat for them free of charge as well. Thank you, Orkin!
The C. via googleA representative came to my home for an inspection. I showed her my concerns. She set up a treatment plan. She was asked if she found any other infestations, she said no, all she needed to do is show they are present. She told us she did no other looking for infestations after I showed her the one I located. She did take some pictures and measurements to compile a treatment plan. I found this rather disappointing. It seems she was only interested is selling the product and not concerned about doing a full inspection to find any and all infestation damage. I was asked to sign a treatment agreement and a payment plan. To this date I still have not seen any report of what she found. Again, I find this very disappointing. One positive note is all employees I had interactions with were polite and courteous.

Libuse B. via googleUnderstanding Pest Control Pricing and Services in Ankeny, Iowa
Homeowners in Ankeny, Iowa, seeking to protect their homes from pests will find a range of pest control services available to address their needs. Service pricing varies broadly based on several factors, including the type of service, the size and location of your property, and the extent of the infestation. General pricing for pest control services may fluctuate, but typically, initial treatments can range from $175 to $399, with recurring treatments priced between $40 and $100 per month, depending on the plan and provider. Some services may offer promotional rates for the initial treatment, significantly reducing the entry cost for pest control solutions.
Comprehensive Coverage vs. Excluded Pests
When selecting a pest control plan, it's essential to know which pests are included and which are not. Most plans cover a variety of common household invaders such as ants, cockroaches, spiders, wasps, and rodents. However, pests like termites, bed bugs, and certain types of wildlife may require specialized treatment and are often not included in standard plans. Understanding the scope of coverage ensures you choose a plan that addresses all the pests that concern you.
The Fine Print: Contracts
Service contracts are common in the pest control industry. Most companies require a commitment, typically ranging from one to two years, and may include a cancellation fee if the service is terminated before the contract's end. It is crucial for homeowners to review the contract terms carefully to understand their obligations and the company's commitment to maintaining a pest-free home.
Satisfaction Guaranteed?
A key aspect of pest control services is the guarantee offered. Many companies promise to make things right if pests persist, offering free re-treatments between scheduled visits or money-back guarantees if the problem is not resolved. This assurance adds a layer of security for homeowners, as it holds the service provider accountable for effective pest management.
What Happens During Treatment
During an initial pest control treatment, technicians focus on identifying and treating infestation hotspots both inside and outside your home. Follow-up treatments typically include monitoring and maintaining barriers to prevent pests from returning. Service frequency and methods may vary with seasonal changes to ensure year-round protection.
Maximizing Value: Bundling and Add-Ons
To get the best value, homeowners can consider bundling pest control with termite or mosquito services. Add-on services like tick and flea treatments are also available, allowing for a more comprehensive approach to pest management while saving money compared to purchasing services separately.
Dealing with Special Intruders
While general pest control plans protect against many common pests, issues with termites, bed bugs, or significant wildlife infestations necessitate specialized treatments. These pests require dedicated plans that focus on the unique challenges they present, often involving more intensive and targeted treatment methods.
