My husband and I appreciated the more humane approach to extermination and the time spent during the inspection to explain the treatment. I did have to call for extra treatment since our moles were still present after initial treatment but they did schedule and complete as promised. We’re in our 3 months of treatment with prevention and so far the problem is under control. All in all a reliable service with competitive pricing but everything paid upfront and no ongoing deductions to keep track.

A couple of squirrels gnawed their way into my attic. I contracted Critter Control and they responded quickly to set up service. The squirrels were humanely removed and all possible openings were sealed within a week. A short time later, my attic was fogged to take care of any potential critters that remained. A very thorough job with a warranty. Very pleased with the service.

Joanne T. via google

We noticed a squirrel entering one of our roof eves and because a family member had recommended critter control we called them right away. The sales person came out and gave us a bid, indicating the work would take two to three days and they could have a team out within a couple of days. The price seemed high, but given that I can’t climb a ladder because of my disability, two or three days work for a crew seemed acceptable. A team of two young men showed up when they had said and spent a little less than 3 hours installing wire mesh over all of our roof eve openings and placing a one way the two eves that appeared damaged from birds and the squirrels, although the technicians said they didn’t hear or see anything in the eve. We had paid for 1/2 the service up front and were billed the remainder. While I’m happy to pay a fair wage, especially for services that I can’t do anymore, the six hours of labor and less than $100 of materials, seemed far less than the price and time the sales person had estimated. I called and was told a manager would call me back. I’ve been waiting about two weeks for a call back, but have only received another bill payment request and this request for a review. There is no local number provided on the website and the people I originally spoke with from their main office were not able to address the situation. The work done appears to be fine, but it’s up at the eves, so I can’t really tell the quality, time will tell if the squirrels or birds try to return, but it looks pretty good for now… the cost seems exorbitant compared to the labor and materials though and the company seems too big to provide a response to my inquiry. I do hope we can come to an agreement on finalizing the bill. My attempt to reply by email to their billing request failed so now I’m hoping they reach back out to me.

Pest Coverage and Exclusions

Pest control plans generally include a variety of common household pests such as ants, spiders, cockroaches, mice, and more. However, not all pests are covered. Specialty pests like termites, bed bugs, and wildlife often require additional, targeted treatments. For instance, while general pest control might keep your kitchen free of ants, it may not protect your home from the structural damage caused by termites.

Understanding Service Contracts

Most pest control services offer annual contracts, providing continuous protection against pests with regular treatments. These contracts sometimes come with the flexibility to cancel at any time, giving homeowners peace of mind if their circumstances change. However, it's essential to note the specifics of each contract as they may vary between different service providers.

Satisfaction Guarantees

Reliable pest control companies often offer guarantees, assuring that if the pests return, so will they, at no additional cost. This commitment provides homeowners with the confidence that their investment in pest control services is protected and that their homes will remain pest-free.

What Happens During Treatment

A typical pest control treatment involves an inspection to identify problem areas, followed by the application of appropriate treatments to targeted spots inside and outside the home. Treatments can include sealing entry points, setting traps, and applying pesticides. Recurring services ensure the prevention of new infestations and the maintenance of a pest-free environment.

Bundles and Additional Services

To maximize value, some pest control companies offer bundled services. Homeowners can combine general pest control with termite or mosquito treatments, usually at a discounted rate. Additionally, there are add-on services available for specific needs, such as tick control or mosquito treatments, complementing the base plan for comprehensive coverage.

Addressing Specialty Pests

While general pest control covers a wide array of insects and rodents, dealing with specialty pests like termites, wildlife, and bed bugs often necessitates a specialized approach. These pests require tailored solutions, which might include baiting systems for rodents or heat treatments for bed bugs. Specialty services typically come with their own pricing structure and guarantees.

One-Time vs. Recurring Service Options

Homeowners can choose between one-time treatments and recurring services based on their needs. A one-time service may be suitable for addressing a specific, isolated pest issue, while recurring services provide ongoing prevention and control, helping to keep homes in Quincy free from pest infestations year-round.
