I've used Blue Chip for many years now. They are friendly, accommodating and effective. I will say, however, Zac goes above and beyond in his work. He took extra time to seek out and spray areas of concern that have been missed by others in the past. He also took time to walk me around my home to show me entry points that need to be caulked which will mitigate pest issues. No one else has ever done that. I highly recommend Blue Chip!
Sherry S. via googleVery impressed with not only the professionalism of my inspector but also his easy manner (no "hard-sell"). Dylan B. came the day after I called the office - extremely prompt service - to inspect my attic for rodent/pest activity. He was more than generous with his time and his knowledge on various options to handle my specific situation. I had a proposal before the end of the day. I would definitely recommend Blue Chip Pest Control, and specifically Dylan B. to anyone in need of such services.
Billy G. via googleGreg was very quick to come and inspect the home for the mice presence from the basement, the main floor and up into the attic. Then around the outside looking at entryways. The team of two was out within a couple couple to clean and disinfect the whole basement and replace basement insulation. Our newly purchased home smelled good again. It had bee left empty for a month and the mice had taken advantage. Now someone comes out monthly and eventually quarterly to spray the home for insects and check for any signs of mice. They are only a phone call away if pest problems pop up. All 4 of my contacts were courteous, genuinely nice people
Lynn G. via googleMy consultant Greg, was very engaged in the process. He walked me through everything he was seeing and doing. He was courteous and very professional. I have four home that I own, if I ever run into a pest problem, I will definitely call Greg.
Lori H. via googleService is great, the professional we had was extremely nice, courtesy and trustworthy. The company had no delay in getting a serviceman out immediately, price was reasonable compared to bigger company name. The professional serviceman, I believe his name was John is always in touch and extremely trustworthy.

My husband and I appreciated the more humane approach to extermination and the time spent during the inspection to explain the treatment. I did have to call for extra treatment since our moles were still present after initial treatment but they did schedule and complete as promised. We’re in our 3 months of treatment with prevention and so far the problem is under control. All in all a reliable service with competitive pricing but everything paid upfront and no ongoing deductions to keep track.
Therese S. via googleA couple of squirrels gnawed their way into my attic. I contracted Critter Control and they responded quickly to set up service. The squirrels were humanely removed and all possible openings were sealed within a week. A short time later, my attic was fogged to take care of any potential critters that remained. A very thorough job with a warranty. Very pleased with the service.
Joanne T. via googleWe noticed a squirrel entering one of our roof eves and because a family member had recommended critter control we called them right away. The sales person came out and gave us a bid, indicating the work would take two to three days and they could have a team out within a couple of days. The price seemed high, but given that I can’t climb a ladder because of my disability, two or three days work for a crew seemed acceptable. A team of two young men showed up when they had said and spent a little less than 3 hours installing wire mesh over all of our roof eve openings and placing a one way the two eves that appeared damaged from birds and the squirrels, although the technicians said they didn’t hear or see anything in the eve. We had paid for 1/2 the service up front and were billed the remainder. While I’m happy to pay a fair wage, especially for services that I can’t do anymore, the six hours of labor and less than $100 of materials, seemed far less than the price and time the sales person had estimated. I called and was told a manager would call me back. I’ve been waiting about two weeks for a call back, but have only received another bill payment request and this request for a review. There is no local number provided on the website and the people I originally spoke with from their main office were not able to address the situation. The work done appears to be fine, but it’s up at the eves, so I can’t really tell the quality, time will tell if the squirrels or birds try to return, but it looks pretty good for now… the cost seems exorbitant compared to the labor and materials though and the company seems too big to provide a response to my inquiry. I do hope we can come to an agreement on finalizing the bill. My attempt to reply by email to their billing request failed so now I’m hoping they reach back out to me.

The customer service from Hawx has always been exceptional. The service technicians are knowledgeable and professional. Connors Trader went the extra mile to make sure he listened to our needs regarding the ant problem we had. He did a wonderful job on our property.
Larry G.via GoogleJordan has provided the most complete service since I’ve been a client. He even sprayed on my deck, which no one else has done. If these are new directions to the techs, hooray. If not, he did the best service. Thanks for putting him on my route.
Sue B.via GoogleI would like to thank Jeff for doing a great job today. In fact, I would like to request him in the future. Y’all were supposed to provide service a couple of weeks ago, and your guy showed up without the equipment to service the inside of my house. To be honest, I almost called you to cancel my service then. Instead I rescheduled. Today Jeff did exactly what I signed up for, but too often you don’t provide. He sprayed indoors and out, swept my eaves for spider webs and took care of a couple of wasp nests. He did a great job. Thank you very much.
Rick T.via GoogleVery polite and wearing a mask (I appreciate that). Introduced himself and asked if any particular place was heavy with mosquitoes, I told him I work in my garage with the door open and he made sure to get that side of the house thoroughly.
Steven W.via GoogleMontana was pleasant and most helpful in taking care of the service requested. We are happy and pleased with great service and the professional assistance given. SHB
Steve C.via GoogleUnderstanding Pest Control Costs in Hazelwood, Missouri
For homeowners in Hazelwood, Missouri, protecting their property from pests is a significant concern. With a variety of insects and rodents that can invade homes, understanding the pricing for pest control services is crucial. Generally, pest management costs can be influenced by several factors such as the size of your home, the severity of the infestation, and the types of treatments required. On average, initial service fees can range from $175 to $350, with monthly maintenance fees varying from $40 to $100. This can be an investment in maintaining a pest-free environment and protecting your family from the health risks associated with common household pests.
Pest Control Service Pricing
When choosing a pest control service in Hazelwood, homeowners should expect to initially budget between $175 to $350 for the first visit. This initial fee usually covers an assessment of the infestation, implementation of a treatment plan, and sometimes a follow-up visit. Subsequent monthly costs can range from $40 to $100, depending on the size of the property and the extent of services provided. This could include periodic treatments to prevent pests from returning, as well as ongoing monitoring to swiftly deal with any new pest activity.
Pests Included and Exclusions
When signing up for a pest control plan, homeowners in Hazelwood can anticipate coverage for a wide array of pests. These typically include ants, spiders, roaches, and mice, among others. However, it is just as important to note which pests are not included. Standard plans often exclude termites, bed bugs, and certain types of wildlife, which may require specialized treatment and potentially higher costs.
Understanding Contracts
Typically, pest control services require a yearly contract that outlines the frequency of services and the costs associated. Homeowners should closely review these agreements as some companies offer the flexibility to cancel the service without significant penalties, while others might impose cancellation fees. It's essential to understand the terms before agreeing to ensure that the service meets your needs and budget.
Service Guarantees
Most reputable pest control companies in Hazelwood offer some form of guarantee, ensuring that if pests return between scheduled services, additional treatments will be provided at no extra cost. This guarantee provides homeowners with peace of mind and assurance that their pest issues will be addressed in a timely and effective manner.
Treatment Procedures
Homeowners can expect a thorough approach during initial and recurring pest control treatments. Services typically include an inspection of the property, treatment of affected areas, sealing of entry points, and advice on preventing future infestations. Some companies also offer green solutions that use environmentally friendly products.
Bundling Services and Add-Ons
To maximize value and coverage, many pest control providers in Hazelwood offer bundled services that can address multiple pest issues simultaneously, such as combining pest and termite control. Add-on services for mosquitoes or ticks are also commonly available, allowing for more comprehensive protection of your property.
Specialty Pest Treatment
While general pest control plans cover a variety of common pests, dealing with specialty infestations like termites, bed bugs, or wildlife requires advanced treatment methods. These specialized services are typically offered as separate plans due to the unique challenges and methods needed to effectively eliminate these pests.
Comparing One-Time and Recurring Services
Deciding between a one-time treatment and a recurring service plan depends on the nature of the pest problem. While a one-time service might seem cost-effective for immediate issues, recurring services offer ongoing protection and can prevent infestations before they start, possibly saving money and hassle in the long run.
