Been with them for years. I called because I have been under contract for bugs for years and have ants in several rooms. After 7 minutes of waiting on the receptionist to input my information she told me I was already scheduled for a treatment in two days at 7:30 in the morning. Which was unknown to me. She said they usually call and give 24 hours noticed. That time does not work for me because I have to be at my appointments. I asked for another time and it became a challenge and was going to move until next week. I was able to call the competition and have something scheduled for tomorrow morning I will be canceling my termite contract and my bud contract with this company . They haven't been in my house this year. I'm not sure how I pay for a treatment when they don't even come inside.

DiGi B. via yelpI called Critter Control Tuesday October 9th right before we knew exactly where the hurricane was going to hit. The technician called me back(in 15 minutes) asked if Thursday was ok they were getting ready for the storm. He showed up early,he called first. He went right to work inspecting all the places "critters" could get in. He didn't mind me walking around with him asking dumb questions & he gave me several options I go with. I am planning on calling back, hiring him & will most likely post a glowing review. Stay tuned... DiGi

Don F. via googleUnderstanding Pest Control Costs and Services in Mobile, Alabama
When it comes to safeguarding your home in Mobile, Alabama from unwelcome visitors such as ants, cockroaches, and rodents, understanding the cost structures and services of pest control is key. Homeowners in this region face a range of pests that can not only cause structural damage but also pose health risks. The price for pest control services generally depends on several factors, including the size of your property, the extent of infestation, and the types of treatments required. Typically, homeowners might expect to pay an initial fee followed by either monthly or quarterly fees for continued pest prevention. Initial fees often range from $100 to $500, with ongoing services costing between $40 to $100 per month. These costs vary widely based on the company and the specific plan chosen.
Cost Factors in Pest Management
Pest control cost is influenced by the size and location of your home, the pest variety, and severity of the infestation. In Mobile, homeowners might deal with everything from ants and spiders to more formidable pests like termites and rodents. An initial assessment is usually the first step, where a professional will evaluate the situation to tailor a plan for your home. Following this, you could incur an initial fee—a one-time charge to set up the service and address any immediate pest issues. Recurring charges are structured to maintain a pest-free environment through regular inspections and treatments.
Pests Included in Service Plans
Most pest control plans cover a range of common pests such as ants, spiders, roaches, and mice. However, some pests, like termites, bed bugs, or wildlife, may require specialized treatment plans and are often not included in standard packages. It's important for homeowners to check with their chosen pest control provider to understand which pests are covered and to inquire about any additional services that may be needed for pests not typically included.
Recurring Service vs. One-Time Treatment
Deciding between a one-time treatment and a recurring service plan is a critical choice for homeowners. While a one-time treatment may address an immediate problem, it often lacks the follow-up necessary to prevent pests from returning. Recurring services, on the other hand, offer ongoing protection with regular treatments to disrupt pest life cycles, keeping your home consistently guarded against invasions.
Contractual Commitments
Pest control services often come with contracts that outline the terms of service, including the frequency of treatments and the duration of the service agreement. In Mobile, such contracts are common, and it's important for homeowners to understand the commitment they are making. Some companies may offer flexibility with the ability to cancel at any time, while others might require a longer commitment with cancellation fees if the contract is broken early.
Guarantees and Peace of Mind
Reputable pest control services usually provide some form of guarantee, ensuring homeowners that if pests return between scheduled treatments, additional services will be provided at no extra charge. This guarantee is an essential aspect of the service, offering peace of mind and the assurance that your home will remain pest-free.
Specialized Pest Treatments
Certain pests like termites, bed bugs, or wildlife require specialized treatment plans due to their unique nature and the difficulty in eradicating them. These services are typically separate from general pest control plans and may incur additional costs. It's important to address these pests promptly to prevent extensive damage to your home and health risks to your family.
Bundle and Save
Many pest control companies in Mobile offer the option to bundle services for a reduced rate. This may include combining general pest control with termite protection or mosquito treatment. Bundling services can be a cost-effective way to protect your home from multiple threats while simplifying service agreements.
