He was very nice, professional and answered all my questions about these crazy ants in my kitchen. First time customer so hopefully with the dust he sprayed the ants will be gone. Thanks’

My new home was infested with pest(roaches) I called Orkin after calling several other companies including Terminix. Out of all of them Orkin was not only responsive but professional from the first phone call. Their services are affordable and reasonable. My pest problem was gone by the second visit. Also any little summer bugs (Rollie pollies) that may enter your home will not be able to survive. I still keep my business with them even though the problem is gone. They even treat your yard! I highly recommend Orkin.

Always on time. Very effective. My guy has to be the best at the company. He’s very professional and follows all of the companies rules to a T. I trust him and the company when entering my home. Since choosing Orkin I have no worries.

I had yellow jackets getting into my kitchen. My regular pest company came out twice but we're unable to resolve the issue. I called Orkin Ashburn at 4:50pm on a Saturday and spoke to Roger who was extremely patient and thorough in getting the details of my issue. He was able to schedule a technician for Monday morning. The tech arrived on time and assessed my situation. After some time he had to call in another inspector to make a further assessment. Although the point of entry was not determined, the tech was able to pump a powder under the roofline of my kitchen bay window. I killed 2 yellow jackets later that day but haven't seen any since then. I'm beyond satisfied and happy knowing my kids can eat meals in the kitchen without deal of getting stung. My needs were fully met, and my expectations were exceeded. I would definitely recommend Orkin Ashburn.

Three company representatives arrived at my home, 2 for sales, 1 for service. I was told I would pay $207 for the plan I asked about, but was quoted a price nearly 3 times the original quote. There were 2 different contracts, for 2 different services, however I was only interested in a plan to rid the property of mice. I was also told treatment would begin the day of the appointment but was asked to schedule a date for "the crew" to return. Still waiting to schedule a time convenient for us both. I called to cancel the service plan and an office staff member, Elaine, was curt then hung up on me.

Trutech has a courteous, professional team. I interacted with three different employees in getting the service I required and each was respectful and informative. Despite being warned that the service might take about 2 weeks it was fully completed the day after the initial inspection and proposal. The team was also very accommodating of my schedule. I recommend Trutech highly.

Snake deterrent. Put down deterrents and devices around property of my home on pond. They also inspected property and shed to ensure no snakes or nests were found. They’ll come monthly and in between if I see any snakes they will come to remove them. Since they’ve come I haven’t seen any repeat visits by snakes. When I called they were very nice to work with, took detailed information, including pictures and scheduled the initial visit within a week. So far I’m very pleased to be snake free, so are my kids and Jack Russell’s!

I have had a great experience with Critter Control. They come each month as scheduled and text when they are on their way to my home. I haven’t had an issue with rodents or bugs since I’ve been using their service!

Lathesha B. via google

Critter Control has helped to keep the critters out of our building in a heavily wooded and swampy section of Va Beach. The pest control product they use for bugs is keeping the bugs at bay too. They are a good and knowledgeable company to work with. We appreciate their nice staff too!

I don’t usually take the time for submitting reviews but “Steve” (my tech) never fails us. Very reliable and takes a personal approach to meeting our needs. No matter how big or small the job, he’s always eager to help, very deserving of the recognition. Thanks Steve

We pay for monthly treatment of our property and every technician that comes out is professional, kind, and thorough. We also purchased a sump pump and dehumidifier for our crawl space and the price was the best quote, the scheduling of the work was done within the month, and the work was done in a day. Everything was clean and efficient. One month later, a technician came by to survey the work under the house. We are very happy with the service we get from Terminix!

Sally C. E. L. via google

Our technician Steve is outstanding. He always goes above and beyond to take care of our home. He is a great representative for Terminex. The best technician we have had with your company.

Teresa S. via google

Greg Williams was thorough and professional each time he visited our house given that we had multiple jobs done: clean out and insulate attic crawl space, termite prevention, exclusion work, and gutter cleaning and covering. All of the work teams were timely, professional, and kept us informed. Thank you.

My technician, David Harris, is extremely polite, competent, and nice. Of course, absence of insects is important, but many companies can do that. I keep the Terminix service because I like David.

Common Pest Problems

Virginia residents often face various pest-related challenges in their homes or businesses. One common issue is dealing with ants, particularly the odorous house ant. These tiny insects can invade homes in large numbers, searching for food and water sources. Their presence can be a nuisance and, if left uncontrolled, can lead to infestations. Another prevalent pest in Virginia is the brown marmorated stink bug. These shield-shaped insects are known for their unpleasant odor and can become a significant nuisance during the fall when they seek shelter in homes and buildings to overwinter.

Rodents, such as mice and rats, are also a concern for Virginia residents. These pests can cause extensive damage to properties through chewing on wires, insulation, and building materials. Moreover, they can transmit diseases and contaminate food. Mosquitoes are another pest that plagues the state, especially during the warmer months. Not only are mosquito bites annoying and itchy, but these bloodsucking insects can also transmit diseases such as West Nile virus and Zika virus.

While residents may attempt DIY pest control methods, seeking professional pest control services is often the most effective way to address these issues. Pest control experts have the specialized knowledge, experience, and resources to identify and target specific pests, implementing tailored solutions to eliminate infestations and prevent future problems. By enlisting the expertise of a pest control company, Virginians can enjoy a pest-free environment while protecting their homes and businesses from the damages and health risks associated with pests.
