They came quickly to assess the problem and did an initial treatment for gophers and rodents. The follow up has not happened. My neighbors have terminated services and are looking for another company for ongoing services. I’m confused about the monthly services that I paid for

Julene R. via google

So far so good. They were super prompt and communication was awesome. They said the rodents are gone so if that's the case, this will remain a 5 star review.

Matt W. via google

Quick response. They presented a plan for control and speaker units to be placed on our building roofs to use sound as a way to eradicate pigeons. I presented to the BOD this option, and they were concerned with the cost and long-term effectiveness. They have chosen to try a different path, one of removing nesting areas, first.

David D. via google

The folks we dealt with were nice enough and got the job done well. We would never have used the service if we could have done it ourselves as it was extremely expensive. They tried to upsell with the offer of a yearlong contract for pest control at $100/mo which we declined. The almost $2K bill seems very excessive considering the amount of time their employee was here (6 hours total). In hindsight I wish I had negotiated a more reasonable cost or gotten additional bids. If you have squirrels in your neighborhood, check your house/roof for possible access points and get them sealed up. We hadn’t had problems until we had our roof redone this past summer and I suspect they left a gap that allowed access to the critters.

Craig R. via google

They got the job done it was just very expensive.

The customer service from Hawx has always been exceptional. The service technicians are knowledgeable and professional. Connors Trader went the extra mile to make sure he listened to our needs regarding the ant problem we had. He did a wonderful job on our property.

Jordan has provided the most complete service since I’ve been a client. He even sprayed on my deck, which no one else has done. If these are new directions to the techs, hooray. If not, he did the best service. Thanks for putting him on my route.

Sue B.via Google

I would like to thank Jeff for doing a great job today. In fact, I would like to request him in the future. Y’all were supposed to provide service a couple of weeks ago, and your guy showed up without the equipment to service the inside of my house. To be honest, I almost called you to cancel my service then. Instead I rescheduled. Today Jeff did exactly what I signed up for, but too often you don’t provide. He sprayed indoors and out, swept my eaves for spider webs and took care of a couple of wasp nests. He did a great job. Thank you very much.

Rick T.via Google

Very polite and wearing a mask (I appreciate that). Introduced himself and asked if any particular place was heavy with mosquitoes, I told him I work in my garage with the door open and he made sure to get that side of the house thoroughly.

Montana was pleasant and most helpful in taking care of the service requested. We are happy and pleased with great service and the professional assistance given. SHB

Your appointment setting is a less than desirable process. I would recommend that you contact customers to set up appointments rather than automatically. I have also asked several times to have appointments scheduled for Monday late morning or early afternoon. This is not followed when scheduling appointments for my home. Your technicians are very professional and do a good job at servicing my home.

Robert H. I. via google

All of the treatment specialists are super kind, listen well and go out of their way to service our home and keep bugs away. We have LOVED Aptive & don’t have any issues with bugs or rodents anymore at all.

Amber H. via google

I've been very pleased with the actual pest service we've received from Aptive, but won't be continuing with them due to their customer service when it comes to contracts and scheduling. First, all the technicians who have come to our house have been thorough, professional and friendly. Top marks there. Scheduling is trickier. They send you a text announcing what day they're coming, but there is no timeframe whatsoever given. If you need to be home when the technician comes (to do the inside of your house, for example), you'll have to give them your entire day since you don't know when they might show up until 20 minutes beforehand. You can reschedule if you're out on an errand, but the next appointment might be weeks or longer away. It's a pretty inconvenient system. Finally (and the main reason we won't be continuing with Aptive), the contract you sign for services enrolls you in auto renewal, which you apparently cannot cancel until your contract is over. Every major service at least allows you to cancel auto renewal before your contact is up, but not Aptive. They told me I have to call their office on the last day of my contract to cancel auto enrollment in more service, and that makes me mad. I don't want a company like that having my credit card information. I feel like they're hoping I'll forget to cancel so they can take more money from me (a common practice, sure, but still a greasy one--no thanks). Fix this, and the inconvenient scheduling, and I'll be an Aptive customer again!

Leigh G. via google

I worked for Aptive in the Phoenix area so I was very familiar with the company. I’m new to Utah only lived here for a little less than 6 months but wanted to get pest control for my house. The tech Daniel performed my initial service and did a fantastic job. I wasn’t home at time of service but my wife was, he explained the service to me via text and to my wife upon arrival to our house. She said he was friendly and professional. Much appreciated and great job Daniel !

Jason L. via google

Daniel did an amazing job today. He arrived within the time scheduled. He went right to work after inquiring if we had any special requirements. He was very thorough, spraying around the house, the garage, shed and crawlspace. He made sure the Wasp nests were removed and the fire pit, which housed a lot of Wasps, was sprayed thoroughly. Even after 3 months since our last application, we have seen spiders and earwigs continue to die. Good Job Aptive ! ! !

Understanding Pest Control Costs

Homeowners in Alpine, Utah, can generally expect to pay a varying range for pest control services depending on the extent of service and treatment required. For standard pest prevention plans, prices may range from as low as $40 to upwards of $100 per month, with an initial fee that could be anywhere between $175 to $350. These costs typically include assessments, the implementation of treatment plans, and continuous monitoring to ensure that pests are kept at bay.

Pest Coverage Details

Common Pests Handled

Residents should anticipate protection against a wide variety of common pests such as ants, cockroaches, spiders, rodents, and more. However, there are certain pests like termites, bed bugs, and various types of wildlife that often require additional, specialized treatment plans.

Exclusions to Note

It's important to note that not all pests are covered under standard plans. For example, most pest control services do not include treatment for pests like honey bees, flies, lice, and mosquitoes under their basic plans, hence requiring homeowners to consider add-on services or specialized treatment plans for these pests.

Service Commitment and Agreements

Flexible Contracts

Many pest control plans offer the flexibility to cancel services at any time, often with a money-back guarantee within a specified period if the homeowner is not satisfied with the results. This provides a level of comfort and control over the service agreement.

Anticipating the Treatment Process

Treatment Procedures

During a typical pest control visit, homeowners can expect a thorough inspection both inside and outside the home, followed by the application of treatments to target and prevent pest activity. Methods may vary depending on the specific pests and the level of infestation.

Combining Services for Savings

Bundling for Better Value

To maximize value, homeowners may explore options for bundling different pest control services together. This can often result in significant savings while ensuring broader protection against a range of pests.

Additional Services for Comprehensive Protection

Add-on services like termite inspections and mosquito treatments can enhance the overall effectiveness of pest control efforts, addressing pests that require more targeted approaches.

Addressing Specialty Pest Concerns

Beyond Basic Pests

For challenges presented by termites, bed bugs, rodents, and wildlife, which are not typically covered under general pest control plans, specialized treatment plans are available to tackle these more complex issues.

Choosing Between One-Time and Recurring Services

Benefits of Ongoing Treatment

While one-time treatments are an option for immediate pest issues, investing in a recurring service plan can provide ongoing prevention and early detection, potentially saving homeowners from larger infestations and more costly treatments in the future.

Confidence in Service Efficacy

Service Guarantees

Reputable pest control companies often offer guarantees where they will return to address any new pest problems at no additional cost, ensuring persistent protection and homeowner peace of mind.
