We used Terminix for at least 20 years at our former home. Just having them spray the outside and take down cobwebs kept most bugs out of our home. We called every now and then for extra help with mice. The technicians (I think we only had two over all those years!) were always friendly and professional. When it was time to cancel, I was VERY disappointed in the runaround from the corporate office. I tried using the chat service, as the office phones weren't open yet. The chat person disappeared after "going to connect you to the right person." When I called, I was transferred again "to the right person" and the process involved stalling, re-asking for all of the identifying information about the account, and offers for me to settle up our balance then and/or transfer services to our new address. Finally, I held onto the line for the customer survey, where my response was met back with the robot saying, "I'm sorry. I can't hear you." The funny thing was I thought I'd already canceled-and when I mentioned it to my sister-in-law, she said they'd had the hardest time getting Terminix to stop coming to her mother-in-law's home they had sold. If you're considering using them, I'd suggest doing one-time services without creating an account, if that is possible in any way!

James just finished here and I wanted to let you know that I am very satisfied with his work and your companies service. I have and will continue to recommend him and your company for pest control and management.

Robert W. via google

Terminix responded promptly when I called to say something was gnawing inside the wall of my house. They inspected to determine possible entry points, then sprayed inside and out, and finally sealed extra space around plumbing and electrical and HVAC service. I have much better peace of mind and I greatly appreciate the swift action!

Pricing for Pest Control Services

For many homeowners, the cost remains a vital consideration when choosing a pest control plan. In Harrison, Arkansas, residents can expect an initial service fee that usually varies from $175 to $350, depending on the pest control provider. This fee often includes a thorough inspection, initial treatment, and setup for ongoing service. The ongoing monthly rate for maintaining a pest-free home typically ranges from $40 to $100. This price can fluctuate based on the property's size and specific requirements, such as the complexity of the infestation and the frequency of treatments needed to keep pests at bay.

Pest Coverage Scope

When you sign up for pest control services, understanding which pests are included in your plan is essential. Common household pests like ants, spiders, cockroaches, and rodents are usually covered under basic plans. However, more specialized pests such as termites, bed bugs, or wildlife may require additional, targeted treatments. It's important to review the service agreement closely, as some pests may only be covered incidentally or with specific add-on services.

Understanding Service Contracts

Most pest control companies in Harrison will ask you to sign a service agreement. These contracts typically outline the frequency of visits, the types of treatments to be provided, and the duration of the service commitment. It's not uncommon for these agreements to span one year, ensuring that your home remains protected through all seasons. However, flexibility can vary from one provider to another, with some offering the ability to cancel at any time without penalty.

Satisfaction Guarantees

Pest control companies often stand behind their work with satisfaction guarantees. This reassurance means that if pests return between scheduled treatments, the company will provide additional services at no extra cost. Some providers may even offer money-back guarantees if you're not satisfied with their service, reinforcing their commitment to keeping your home pest-free.

Treatment Expectations

A typical pest control treatment involves an initial inspection to identify problem areas, followed by targeted treatment to eliminate pests and prevent their return. Technicians may treat both the interior and exterior of your home, addressing entry points, nesting sites, and other critical areas. They may also provide preventative advice to help you maintain a pest-free environment between visits.

Bundling Services and Add-Ons

Homeowners can often save money by bundling pest control services. For example, combining general pest control with termite or mosquito treatments can lead to significant savings. Additionally, services like tick control or rodent monitoring may be available as add-ons, providing an extra layer of protection for your property.

Specialty Pest Solutions

For those facing issues with specialty pests, many pest control companies offer targeted plans specifically for termites, bed bugs, rodents, and wildlife. These services are usually more intensive and may require different treatment methods than those used in general pest control.

Choosing Between One-Time and Recurring Services

Deciding between one-time and recurring pest control services depends on your specific needs. A one-time treatment might suffice for a minor infestation or as a preventative measure, while recurring services offer ongoing protection and are ideal for dealing with persistent or seasonal pest problems. It's worth considering that recurring services often come with guarantees, providing peace of mind through regular maintenance.
